  • 1954: Sammy Davis Jr. loses his left eye in a car accident
    While driving from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, Sammy Davis Jr. was involved in a near-fatal crash that changed his life forever. The accident caused him to lose his left eye. Despite the setback, Davis emerged stronger, becoming a groundbreaking entertainer who broke racial barriers in Hollywood and on stage. His resilience is an enduring symbol of triumph over adversity.   • 1962: The Beatles perform three shows in one day
    Before they conquered the world, The Beatles were hustling hard in England. He contributed to hits like "Spinning Wheel" and earned multiple Grammy Awards with the band. Known for his innovative arrangements, Lipsius also influenced countless jazz and rock musicians.   • 1946: Joe Correro (78)
    Drummer for Paul Revere & The Raiders, Joe Correro added a dynamic and powerful beat to the band’s most famous songs.
