1957 – Elvis Presley's film Jailhouse Rock premiered at Loew's State Theatre in Memphis, Tennessee, where Elvis had once worked as an usher. The iconic title track became one of rock's most enduring anthems. Watch It
1960 – The Drifters hit #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 with "Save the Last Dance For Me," featuring the unmistakable voice of Ben E. King. The single later reached #2 in the UK. Listen Now
1961 – Mick Jagger and Keith Richards reconnected at Dartford railway station after being childhood classmates. Their shared love of Chuck Berry and blues music sparked a legendary partnership that would birth The Rolling Stones. See History
